BIO

Dr. Alexandra Pierre-Bez is an Associate Professor in the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine - AZ (CDMA). She is a preclinical faculty member and mentors students in benchtop and clinical research. Prior to a career in dental education, Dr. Pierre-Bez practiced general dentistry in a federally qualified health center in southern Arizona. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, a Masters in Public Health and Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and is currently completing coursework in the Curriculum and Instruction Ph.D. program at NAU. She also completed the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Emerging Leaders Program and serves as a program advisor of the ADEA Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program at MWU.

 

Dr. Pierre-Bez is President-Elect of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Education Research Group, Past President of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research - Arizona Section, and Treasurer of the Midwestern University Chapter of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society. In addition, she is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, the American Dental Association Standards Committees on CAD/CAM Bonding Cements and Whitening Agents, and the American College of Dentists.
