Mikaela Linn Thompson, M.O.T., OTR/L

Mikaela Thompson is the Clinic Coordinator and a Clinical Assistant Professor for Midwestern University’s Occupational Therapy Program. Mrs. Thompson joined the Occupational Therapy team in August of 2020. Mrs. Thompson has her Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration ® and the Therapeutic Listening Program (TLP) ®. She has pursued numerous continuing education opportunities including Handwriting without Tears, and Neurodevelopmental Techniques (NDT). Her specialties include assessment and treatment of sensory processing difficulties, working with children with autism spectrum disorders, neurological disorders, and developmental delays. Mikaela graduated with her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Midwestern University in 2014 and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Biola University in 2011. She has worked as an occupational therapist in both outpatient private practice and home health settings, primarily serving a pediatric population. Mikaela is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arizona Occupational Therapy Association.
