BIO
Dr. Molehin earned his Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; Master of Research (M. Res.) degree from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. He obtained his postdoctoral training at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Australia and at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), USA. He instructed a variety of pre-medical courses at Griffith University, Australia and also taught graduate-level courses at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, TTUHSC for over five years. Dr Molehin has also led multiple research studies in academia that has led to several publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. His major areas of expertise include helminth biology, systems vaccinology and host-parasite interactions with specific interest in parasite vaccine development. Overall his research agenda and expertise falls under the broad banner of host-parasite interactions, and the marriage of basic and applied-translating research outcomes into innovative/practical disease control strategies. Dr. Molehin has active research collaboration with groups in the United Kingdom and Australia. His local research collaborations include the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center, Case Western Reserve University, PAI Life Sciences Inc. and Schistosomiasis Resource Center of the Biomedical Research Institute. Dr. Molehin joined Midwestern University in the summer of 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology. Editorial Board
