BIO

I'm a biological anthropologist (anthropo- = human; -logy = study) specializing in skeletal biology, with a background in bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. My academic work includes research on historical demography (primarily during Korea's Joseon Dynasty), age-at-death estimation, and large-scale method validation using skeletal remains from different geographic regions.

Throughout my career, I've worked with archaeological and modern skeletal collections in the United States, Korea, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines, and participated in projects involving bioarchaeological fieldwork and forensic cases. Much of my forensic anthropology training stems from my five years of work at the Forensic Anthropology Center (the "Body Farm") at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I conducted postdoctoral research at Florida State University on a project funded by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ).
