Christine Conroy, D.P.T., Ph.D., FNAP

Dr. Conroy’s scholarship centers on interprofessional education (IPE), ethics in collaborative practice, and clinical decision-making in health professions education. Her work examines barriers such as stereotyping and role perception that affect interprofessional competency development and explores educational models that enhance ethical reasoning and teamwork in healthcare students.

She has authored peer-reviewed publications in the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice, American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, and Journal of Physical Therapy, among others. Her research has been presented internationally at venues including the World Confederation for Physical Therapy Congress, Collaborating Across Borders, and the National Academies of Practice Forum.

Dr. Conroy’s current projects investigate mindfulness-based interventions for musculoskeletal pain, clinician-perceived barriers to interprofessional competence, and the effectiveness of negative-pressure wound therapy in postoperative recovery. Her contributions promote the integration of interprofessional ethics and evidence-based reasoning within physical therapy education and practice.
