Maggie Klausing, PT, D.P.T.

Dr. Maggie Klausing, PT, DPT, MSCI, is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Miami in 2008 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Washington University in St. Louis in 2012. She completed an orthopedic physical therapy residency in 2013 and became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2014.

Dr. Klausing is actively involved in professional service and leadership at the national level. She serves on the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) Orthopaedic Specialty Council, where she is Chair of the Item Review Committee, and serves as an On-Site Reviewer/Practice Area Expert for the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). She also serves as a board member for the Association for Academic Physiatrists (AAP) Regenerative Rehabilitation Consortium (ARRC).

At Midwestern University, Dr. Klausing teaches across the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum, with primary teaching responsibilities in Pathophysiology I, Patient Management III, and Clinical Conditions and Differential Screening. Additionally, she offers an optional Regenerative Rehabilitation Research Elective. She also serves as Chair of the Physical Therapy Research Committee and contributes to program and university service.

Her scholarly interests include regenerative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, clinical reasoning, community health, and physical therapy education. She is particularly interested in advancing the integration of regenerative rehabilitation into physical therapist education and clinical practice. Dr. Klausing is currently pursuing a PhD in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University, where her doctoral research includes regenerative rehabilitation education in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs.
