BIO

I began my career as a Fine Art major in college. A life drawing class was the initial inspiration to the medical field. After exploring several options and specialties I found the practice of Podiatry a nice blend of the art (surgery) and science of medicine. I have been heavily involved in academics since the start of my career – both as a residency program attending at the Kaiser SF Bay Area Program and as faculty for student education. I now serve as full time faculty in the role Assistant Professor/Attending Clinical Faculty at Midwestern University. I have had the privilege of various types of clinical practice, including private and large organizational settings; serving in both inpatient and outpatient care roles, including trauma and elective reconstructive surgery. I have served on hospital committees for Peer Review, OR/Surgical efficiency and Trauma Response team efforts. Throughout my career, my passion is centered in research and academics. I am honored to be a section editor for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in both Rearfoot Reconstruction and Forefoot Surgery. I am active in clinical research with prior publications, continued medical education lecture events, and most recently the invitation to serve as Faculty and Co-chair of the AO North America, podiatry education division. This joint collaborative effort between the AO Foundation and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons has been a highlight of my career.
