Jeffrey F. Barletta, BS, Pharm.D., FCCM, FCCP is a Professor (with tenure) and Vice Chair of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University, College of Pharmacy- Glendale Campus. Prior to joining MWU, Dr. Barletta was a clinical specialist in surgical critical care at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI and Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, MI. He has over 25 years of experience as a critical care clinician and currently practices at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ as a member of the trauma/surgical ICU team.
Dr. Barletta has authored more than 130 peer reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters and co-editor of a textbook entitled, "Drug-Induced Complications in the Critically Ill Patient: A Guide for Recognition and Treatment". He is recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM), and a Fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP). Dr. Barletta is a current member of Council for the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), a past-Chair of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section of SCCM, a past Editor of Critical Connections and a past member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Specialty Board. Dr. Barletta was also an inaugural member of the Executive Committee for the Critical Care Pharmacotherapy Trials Network. His research interests are centered around outcomes with drug therapy in the critically ill or injured patient.
