Javier Gantes-Nunez, Ph.D.

My research focuses on the development and application of optical systems for ophthalmic imaging and diagnostics, as well as the optical characterization of myopia control technologies. I work on designing and refining optical instruments that enhance the assessment and treatment of visual conditions. A key area of interest involves evaluating how myopia control devices—such as specialized spectacle and contact lenses—interact optically with the eye to better understand and improve their effectiveness.
