Lisa Dawn Bunker, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Dr. Bunker is interested in the assessment and treatment of neurogenic communication disorders, particularly aphasia and acquired apraxia of speech. Her research has included examinations of behavioral interventions, reliable outcome measures, and post-stroke recovery, including examinations of brain-behavior relationships using MRI and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Her current work in the RECOvery iN NEurogenic CommunicaTion (RECONNECT) Lab continues these same goals, with additional focus on neuromodulation techniques, such as noninvasive brain stimulation and fNIRS neurofeedback, to enhance outcomes of behavioral therapies.
