The primary focus of my lab is to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying sex-specific effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on the reproductive system.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 20% of couples experience infertility. Many EDCs, including phthalates—widely used as plasticizers and solvents in consumer products—have been linked to reproductive disorders. Using mouse models, we examine whether environmentally relevant doses of phthalates elicit distinct toxic effects in male and female gonads. By uncovering these sex-specific responses, our research aims to inform the development of targeted healthcare strategies for reproductive and endocrine-related diseases.
