Dr. Robinson's research focus has been on investigating the effectiveness of community-based interventions to alleviate the challenges vulnerable populations experience when participating in their communities. Previous research projects have focused on youth experiencing homelessness, working with organizations to promote work self-efficacy for LGBTQ youth, enhancing life skills to support housing for young adults, and addressing individual and structural ageism impacting community-dwelling older adults. More recent interests have focused on investigating the factors impacting the viability and sustainability of occupational therapy services within primary care practice settings.
