Alisha Kleindel, M.S., CCC-SLP

Alisha Kleindel is the Director of Clinical Education and Instructor in Speech-Language Pathology Program at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She completed her Master of Science in 2009 in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Eastern Washington University in 2009.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University. She has been a licensed speech-language pathologist since 2009.

Alisha has worked as a medical speech-language pathologist her entire career, working in all medical settings including acute, subacute, home health, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. She has certifications and training in Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT), Vital Stimulation (NMES) for dysphagia with adults, Respiratory Muscle Strength Training (RMST), FEEs, Laryngeal Videostroboscopy, and Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MbsImp).

Alisha is also a content creator and mentor for The Adult Speech Therapy Workbook, an online speech therapy company targeting adult assessment and treatment materials, courses, and videos. Through this company, she writes evidence-based speech pathology blogs as well as provides online SLP mentorship through offered courses. Alisha’s specialties include assessment and treatment with adult neurogenic disorders, particularly with dysphagia, acquired motor-speech disorders, and voice deficits.
