Abby Hurley

With specialities in functional contextualist (third wave) modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as somatic approaches (Sensorimotor and Deep Brain Reorienting), Dr. Hurley is committed to the development of comprehensive, evidenced-based approaches that work with the whole person. She is at present working on several studies:

1. a meta-analysis on somatic interventions for the treatment of trauma symptoms
2. a psychometric evaluation of the SIVS, a novel measure for the assessment of shock symptoms in trauma
3.  a pilot feasability study of the s2 protocol for Deep Brain Reorienting
