BIO
Dr. Christopher R. Hagan is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Midwestern University in Illinois. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Hagan completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at Northwestern University and a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Dr. Hagan has extensive clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, including advanced manual therapy and exercise interventions for complex musculoskeletal conditions. His professional roles have included serving as Coordinator of Physical Therapy Services at University of Illinois Health, faculty and mentor for Northwestern University’s orthopedic fellowship program, and serves as an expert witness.
Dr. Hagan's research interests include orthopedic manual therapy, clinical reasoning, and post-professional education. He has published case reports and case series in peer-reviewed journals and presented numerous platform and poster presentations at national conferences. He is actively involved in professional service, including roles with the Illinois Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, and serves as a journal reviewer.
