Deming Yang, Ph.D.

Dr. Yang’s research focuses on the evolution of humans and mammals through dental functional morphology, and interactions between the biosphere and geosphere through isotopes of major and trace elements. He is working on a variety of ecological and physiological processes that involve plants, mammals, and our surounding environment. Dr. Yang's research methods include dental histology, digital microscopy, Micro-CT scanning, isotope mass spectrometry, faunal analysis, and Bayesian modeling.
