Melanie Logue

Dr. Melanie Logue is the Director of the Graduate Nursing Programs at Midwestern University and brings over 30 years of experience in academia, administration, clinical practice, and research to her role. She served as the Campus President, Director of Nursing Operations, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions, Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies, Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and Professor in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

Dr. Logue completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Outcomes and Comparative Effectiveness Research at the University of Arizona’s Health Outcomes and Practice Effectiveness (HOPE) Research Center, where she also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Her research has been published in the areas of health information technology and care transitions, and she co-authored two book chapters on Teaming in Interprofessional Education and The Nurses’ Role in Achieving Health Equity Through Multisector Collaboration and Workforce Diversity.

Clinically, Dr. Logue has served as a primary care provider for over two decades, working with diverse populations across Arizona. Her nursing background includes roles in trauma, neurological, and medical-surgical intensive care units, emergency departments, multi-level pediatrics, and pediatric home health.

She remains deeply involved in the professional nursing community. Dr. Logue is a member of several organizations, including the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has held leadership roles such as co-lead of the Arizona Action Coalition, board member of the Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing, president of the Nurse Educator Chapter of the Arizona Nurses Association, and appointee to the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Dr. Logue’s contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including being named one of Arizona Business Magazine’s 2016 Most Influential Women in Business. She is also a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
