RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Park's research integrates both in vivo and in vitro approaches to investigate the effects of aging and chronic disease on vascular function and blood pressure regulation. His primary research focuses on the complex interactions among endothelial function, oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, and vascular physiology, with the goal of understanding the mechanisms underlying cardiovascular dysfunction in clinical populations, including individuals with peripheral artery disease, heart failure, and hypertension.
In addition, Dr. Park's research explores cardiovascular fitness and skeletal muscle function in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) and wheelchair athletes. His work aims to better understand how cardiovascular and skeletal muscle fitness influence disease progression, functional capacity, and quality of life in these populations.
