BIO
Dr. Scott earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2005 from Northern Arizona University. She has practiced physical therapy in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient orthopedics, acute rehab, and home health with her passion lying in outpatient orthopedics. Dr. Scott became a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2014 and has furthered her education by pursuing a manual therapy certification through North American Institute of Manual Therapy having completed Level 3 certification of Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT). Dr. Scott is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and, while working in the outpatient setting, has mentored over 20 students. She has been part of the core faculty for Midwestern University's PT program for 2 years, leading the musculoskeletal tract and began at Midwestern University with previous academic experience as an adjunct professor in their Physical Therapy Program for 3 years. Dr. Scott also has experience as a faculty member in the HonorHealth Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program where she taught Thoracic Spine, Lumbar Spine, and Hip pathology, exam and management along with Differential Diagnosis for physical therapists. Her research interests include application of pain science curriculum, management of upper extremity nerve disorders, and pain prevention in health care professions.
