BIO
Dr. Lorna London is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Training at Midwestern University. She received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Iowa and her Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago, IL. Dr. London's research interests include cultural diversity and how cultural education can reduce stereotypes, integrated healthcare and healthcare disparities among minority populations, and the therapeutic role of family counseling . Dr. London has published peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Prevention and Intervention in the Community, Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology, Urban Education, and Encyclopedia of Couple and Family Therapy. Dr. London, as Director of Clinical Training, works with students to identify their clinical goals and aspirations, and assist them in securing practicum and internship training opportunities to help them achieve their professional goals. Dr. London teaches courses in cultural diversity, advanced practicum seminar , professional development and lifelong learning and integrated health care. She enjoys partnering with students on their dissertations and is eager to involve students on her research team which is currently examining attitudes and behaviors connected with individuals' attitudes about organ donation. When she is not at Midwestern, Dr. London enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, exercising, attending Broadway productions, baking and getting lost in good music and a good book.
