Tamara Turner, Ed.D., OTR/L

Dr. Turner has three active areas of scholarly activity. The first area is studying the Collaborative Fieldwork Supervision Model. Dr. Turner has co-led a national survey of fieldwork educators in regard to factors contributing to use of the collaborative supervision model. The research findings from this survey have resulted in two national presentations of the research findings and a full-day presentation at a pre-conference institute through the American Occupational Therapy Association for March. Additionally, the work of this reserach group has led to the publication of the survey findings resulting in four peer-reviewed publications to date.

The second area of scholarly activity is in occupational therapy intervention and dementia care. Dr. Turner was awarded a grant through the Arrizona Alzheimer's Consortium. She is currently working on several dementia care related projects. 

The third area of scholarship is in teaching and learning. Dr. Turner and a colleague have been invited to present to the World Federation of Occupational Therapy Congress, which meets once every 4 years regarding teaching methods for seating and positioning in occupational therapy education.
