BIO
Dr. Vakishan Nadarajah earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lewis University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. Upon graduation, he completed his residency training in Cornea and Contact Lens at the University of California, Berkeley, Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Science. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Chicago College of Optometry in which he is a course director for several optometric courses to students. Dr. Nadarajah is also the Clinic Care Coordinator (Chief) of the Cornea and Contact Lens Department at the Midwestern University Eye Institute, in which he helps direct and care for patients in the Dry Eye, Specialty Contact Lens, and Myopia Control Services.
Dr. Nadarajah's areas of expertise include contact lens application for keratoconus, corneal ectasias, post-surgical, orthokeratology, and myopia control. His expertise in dry eye disease includes procedures such as Lipiflow, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) therapy, BlephEx, etc.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and of the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS), and is a current member of the GP Lens Institute, National Keratoconus Foundation, and American Optometric Association.
