BIO

Dr. Joshua Gasiorowski earned his PhD from Northwestern University studying the intranuclear trafficking patterns of non-viral gene therapy plasmids.  He had postdoctoral positions focused on researching regenerative medicine and bioengineering techniques at the Unversity of Wisconsin and the University of Chicago before joining Midwestern University as an assistant professor in the Biomedical Sciences department in 2013.  He currently serves part-time as the Associate Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for the Downers Grove campus while still teaching as an associate professor in the Biomedical Sciences department.  His lab is currently studying the nature of heterogeneous expression patterns of non-viral gene therapy vectors and how biophysical cues from natural and synthetic scaffolds can be used to direct cell behaviors for tissue engineering.
