BIO
Dr. Ari Chakraborty is an internationally trained Vision Scientist with experience working in Canada, New Zealand, and India. Currently, Chakraborty is the Assistant Director of Research and a tenured Associate Professor of Vision Science at the Chicago College of Optometry, where he is responsible for developing and teaching vision science courses and the capstone program.
Besides teaching, Chakraborty is actively involved in research pertaining to understanding the neurophysiological basis of higher visual processing deficits and their treatment in children and adults. Chakraborty directs the Translational Vision Science Lab (TVSLab) within the Chicago College of Optometry.
Dr. Ari Chakraborty is also an Adjunct Professor at Rush University, Chicago, and the University of Waterloo in Canada.
