RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Singh’s research examines the intersections of biomechanics, obesity, and rehabilitation performance, alongside innovations in physical therapy education and licensure preparation. His early biomechanical investigations focused on gait mechanics, postural control, and musculoskeletal adaptations in overweight and obese populations, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in Clinical Biomechanics, Gait & Posture, Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, and the Journal of Applied Biomechanics.

At Midwestern University, his scholarship emphasizes educational leadership, curriculum design, and student outcomes assessment within Doctor of Physical Therapy programs. He has published and presented extensively on predictors of National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) success, student learning behaviors, and faculty development in health sciences education, with recent work appearing in Rehabilitation Research, Policy, and Education, Journal of Allied Health Sciences, and Medical Research Archives.

Dr. Singh has delivered more than 100 presentations at national and international meetings, including the APTA Combined Sections Meeting, Educational Leadership Conference, World Physiotherapy Congress, and the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting. His ongoing projects explore academic leadership models, assessment validity, and strategies for improving equity and access in physical therapy education.
